As of March First, I will no longer be a basement-dweller.
(Not that I ever lived in a basement. We don't have basements out here.)

I'm moving into the city where my JC is. I'm moving within walking distance of the JC. The room is only a little smaller than my room, and the closet is bigger.
There is a pool. Fook yeah, pool. Washer and dryer are onsite.
There is cable, and I have my own TV and VCR.

With any luck, by Summer, I'll be living with my friend Amber. It's still really, really great to be getting out of my parents' house before then.

My parents are awesome. My stepdad is Always Thinking, and my mom is a Trekkie geek and pro-hallucinogens. Still, the last few years with them have been pretty strained.

Living away from my parents will make a lot of things much easier.
I will miss our awesome house, and our parrot. I will not miss the shit that has happened and has not happened since I got back from my brief stint in the Navy.

Saw Coraline with my friends today. It was awesome.
